ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones at Saigon Street and Wai Ching Street, Jordan

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 30 November 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones:

  (a)  the section of Wai Ching Street from its junction with Saigon Street to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction will be designated as restricted zones from 7.00 am to 10.00 am and 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily; and

  (b)  the southern kerbside lane of Saigon Street from a point about 10 metres east of its junction with Wai Ching Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction will be designated as restricted zones from 8.00 am to 10.00 and 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily; and public light bus restricted zones from 7.00 am to 10.00 am and 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles and drivers of all public light buses, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
