ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Wai Yip Street, Yan Yip Street, Hang Yip Street and
Tai Yip Street, Kwun Tong

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 27 November 2020, the following road sections in Kwun Tong will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

  (a)  the section of Tai Yip Street from its junction with Wai Yip Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;

  (b)  the section of Wai Yip Street from a point about 25 metres east of its junction with Tai Yip Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;

  (c)  the western kerbside lane of Yan Yip Street from its junction with Wai Yip Street to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction;

  (d)  the section of Wai Yip Street from its junction with Hang Yip Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

  (e)  the eastern kerbside lane of Hang Yip Street from its junction with Wai Yip Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;

  (f)  the section of an unnamed road between Yan Yip Street and Hang Yip Street; and

  (g)  the section of Wai Yip Street between Yan Yip Street and Hang Yip Street.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
