ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Chap Wai Kon Street, Sha Tin

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 27 November 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

i.   the northern kerbside lane of Chap Wai Kon Street from a point about 336 metres west of its junction with Siu Lek Yuen Road to a point about 400 metres west of the same junction;

ii.  the southern kerbside lane of Chap Wai Kon Street from a point about 339 metres west of its junction with Siu Lek Yuen Street to a point about 411 metres east of the same junction;

iii. the northern kerbside lane of Chap Wai Kon Street from a point about 247 metres west of its junction with Ngau Pei Sha Street Street to a point about 327 metres west of the same junction; and

iv. the southern kerbside lane of Chap Wai Kon Street from a point about 219 metres west of its junction with the Ngau Pei Sha Street to a point about 293 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(i)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(ii)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
