ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Ngan Shing Street, Sha Tin

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 27 November 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

i.   the eastern kerbside lane of Ngan Shing Street from a point about 90 metres south of its junction with Chap Wai Kon Street to a point about 151 metres south of the same junction;

ii.  the western kerbside lane of Ngan Shing Street from a point about 12 metres north of its junction with the access road leading to Prince of Wales Hospital to a point about 47 metres south of the same junction;

iii. the western kerbside lane of Ngan Shing Street from a point about 24 metres north of its junction with Chap Wai Kon Street to a point about 50 metres south of the same junction; and

iv. the eastern kerbside lane of Ngan Shing Street from a point about 50 metres north of its junction with Chap Wai Kon Street to a point about 24 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(i)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(ii)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
