(CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Ma On Shan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 27 November 2020, the following road sections in Ma On Shan will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

(a)   The southern kerbside lane of On Chun Street westbound from a point about 70 metres east of its junction with the ingress of Bayshore Towers Public Transport Interchange to the same junction;

(b)   The western kerbside lane of the unnamed road in Bayshore Towers Public Transport Interchange from a point about 65 metres south of its junction with the egress of Bayshore Towers Public Transport Interchange to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

(c)   the eastern kerbside lane of Ning Tai Road southbound from a point about 20 metres south of its junction with the Kam Tai Court access road to a point about 80 metres south of the same junction; and

(d)   the western kerbside lane of Ning Tai Road northbound from a point about 130 metres south of its junction with the Kam Tai Court access road to a point about 80 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
