(CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Ma On Shan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 1.00 pm on 27 November 2020, the following road sections in Ma On Shan will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

(a)   The eastern kerbside lane of Hang Hong Street southbound from a point about 30 metres north of its junction with the unnamed road connecting Yiu On Estate to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

(b)   The eastern kerbside lane of Hang Hong Street southbound from its junction with the unnamed road connecting Yiu On Estate to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;

(c)   The western kerbside lane of the unnamed road connecting Yiu On Estate from a point about 65 metres south of its junction with Hang Hong Street southbound to the same junction;

(d)   The western kerbside lane of Hang Hong Street northbound from a point about 40 metres south of its junction with the access road connecting Ma On Shan Sports Ground Car Park to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction; and

(e)   The western kerbside lane of Hang Hong Street northbound from a point about 15 metres west of its junction with the access road connecting Ma On Shan Sports Ground Car Park to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
