ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)

Restricted Zone on Mei Yuen Street and Mei Fok Street, Sai Kung

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation (14)(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 27 November 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)   the northern kerbside lane of Mei Fok Street from its junction with Mei Yuen Street to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;

(b)   the western kerbside lane of Mei Yuen Street from its junction with Mei Fok Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;

(c)   the western kerbside lane of Mei Yuen Street from a point about 5 metres west of its junction with Mei Fok Street to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;

(d)   the southern kerbside lane of Mei Yuen Street from a point about 5 metres west of its junction with Mei Fok Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;

(e)   the southern kerbside lane of Mei Fok Street from its junction with unnamed road to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
