ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)

Restricted Zone on Tai Mong Tsai Road near Tai Wan, Sai Kung

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation (14)(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 4 December 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)   the northern kerbside lane of Tai Mong Tsai Road near Tai Wan from a point about 20 metres east of the lamppost numbered N8570 to a point about 40 metres east of the same lamppost;

(b)   the southern kerbside lane of Tai Mong Tsai Road near Tai Wan from the lamppost numbered N8571 to a point about 20 metres west of the same lamppost;

(c)   the southern kerbside lane of Tai Mong Tsai Road near Tai Wan from the lamppost numbered N8571 to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
