ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Tong Mi Road, Tai Kok Tsui

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 11 December 2020, the following road sections in Tai Kok Tsui will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)  the section of an unnamed road (near Tong Mei Road Government Primary School) from its junction with Tong Mi Road to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;

(b)  the eastern kerbside lane of Tong Mi Road from a point about 5 metres south of its junction with an unnamed road (near Tong Mei Road Government Primary School) to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;

(c)  the section of an unnamed road (near Wui Fai House) from its junction with Tong Mi Road to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction; and

(d)  the eastern kerbside lane of Tong Mi Road from its junction with an unnamed road (near Wui Fai House) to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
