ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Kwong Wa Street and Yin Chong Street, Mong Kok

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 11 December 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

  (a)  the eastern kerbside lane of Kwong Wa Street (excluding parking spaces) from a point about 15 metres south of its junction with Yin Chong Street to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;

  (b)  the western kerbside lane of Kwong Wa Street from a point about 20 metres south of its junction with Yin Chong Street to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction; and

  (c)  the section of Yin Chong Street from its junction with Kwong Wa Street to a point about 5 metres west of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
