ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Tsim Sha Tsui

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 11 December 2020, the following road sections in Tsim Sha Tsui will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

  (a)  the section of Ichang Street from its junction with Hankow Road to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;

  (b)  the western kerbside lane of Hankow Road from a point about 5 metres north of its junction with Ichang Street to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;

  (c)  the section of Hankow Road from its junction with Salisbury Road to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;

  (d)  the northern kerbside lane of Salisbury Road from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with Hankow Road to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;

  (e)  the section of Middle Road from its junction with Nathan Road to a point about 25 metres east of the same junction; and

  (f)  the eastern kerbside lane of Nathan Road from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Middle Road to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles and drivers of all public light buses, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
