ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Kai Shing Street and Kai Shun Road, Kowloon Bay

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 11 December 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)  the northern kerbside lane of Kai Shun Road from its junction with Kai Shing Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

(b)  the eastern kerbside lane of Kai Shing Street from its junction with Kai Shun Road to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction;

(c)  the southern kerbside lane of Kai Shun Road from its junction with Kai Shing Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;

(d)  the eastern kerbside lane of Kai Shing Street from its junction with Kai Shun Road to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;

(e)  the western kerbside lane of Kai Shing Street from its junction with Kai Shun Road to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction; and

(f)  the western kerbside lane of Kai Shing Street from its junction with Kai Shun Road to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections and the existing 24 hours daily restricted zone between the entrance/exit of Electrical and Mechanical Services Department Headquarters will be rescinded.
