ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Temporary Restricted Zones on Lam Chak Street and Kai Hing Road, Kowloon Bay

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 8.00 am on 2 January 2021 to 6.00 pm on 31 March 2021, the following road sections in Kowloon Bay will be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)  the southern kerbside lane of Lam Chak Street from its junction with Kai Hing Road to a point about 65 metres west of the same junction;

(b)  the northern kerbside lane of Lam Chak Street from its junction with Kai Hing Road to a point about 65 metres west of the same junction; and

(c)  the western kerbside lane of Kai Hing Road from a point about 25 metres north of its junction with Lam Chak Street to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
