ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATION (CHAPTER 374)

Extension of Temporary Speed Limit on Prince Edward Road East

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 1 January 2021 to 31 March 2021, in order to facilitate road works, the following road sections in Kowloon City will continue to be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour:

(a) the section of Prince Edward Road East eastbound from a point about 50 metres east of its junction with Choi Hung Road to a point about 800 metres east of the same junction;

(b) the section of flyover linking Ma Tau Chung Road northbound and Prince Edward Road East eastbound from a point about 150 metres west of its junction with Choi Hung Road to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction; and

(c) The section of Prince Edward Road East westbound near Choi Hung Interchange to a point about 50 metres west of its junction with King Tai Street.

  Appropriate traffic signs have been erected on site to guide motorists.

  At the same time, the existing speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the above road section will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
