ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)
Restricted Zone on Hiram's Highway and Heung Chung Road, Sai Kung
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation (14)(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 2 January 2021, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:
(a) the eastern kerbside lane of Hiram's Highway from its junction with Heung Chung Road to a point about 12 metres south of the same junction;
(b) the southern kerbside lane of Heung Chung Road from its junction with Hiram's Highway to a point about 24 metres east of the same junction;
(c) the northern kerbside lane of Heung Chung Road from its junction with Hiram's Highway to a point about 12 metres east of the same junction;
(d) the eastern kerbside lane of Hiram's Highway from its junction with Heung Chung Road to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;
(e) the western kerbside lane of Wo Mei Hung Min Road from a point about 70 metres north of its junction with Hiram's Highway to a point about 100 metres north of the same junction;
(f) the western kerbside lane of Wo Mei Hung Min Road from a point about 115 metres north of its junction with Hiram's Highway to a point about 145 metres north of the same junction; and
(g) the eastern kerbside lane of Heung Chung Road from a point about 80 metres north of its junction with Hiram's Highway to a point about 100 metres north of the same junction.
Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
