ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Chong Yip Street and How Ming Street, Kwun Tong

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 15 January 2021, the following road sections in Kwun Tong will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)  the northern kerbside lane of Chong Yip Street from its junction with How Ming Lane to a point about 90 metres west of the same junction;

(b)  the northern kerbside lane of Chong Yip Street from a point about 105 metres west of its junction with How Ming Lane to a point about 130 metres west of the same junction;

(c)  the southern kerbside lane of Chong Yip Street from its junction with How Ming Street to a point about 90 metres west of the same junction;

(d)  the southern kerbside lane of Chong Yip Street from a point about 110 metres west of its junction with How Ming Street to a point about 135 metres west of the same junction;

(e)  the western kerbside lane of How Ming Street from its junction with Chong Yip Street to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction; and

(f)  the eastern kerbside lane of Chong Yip Street from a point about 70 metres north of its junction with Hung To Road to a point about 80 metres north of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
