ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Hung Mui Kuk Road and Chung Pak Road, Sha Tin

      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 22 January 2021, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)   the eastern kerbside lane of Hung Mui Kuk Road from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with Chung Pak Road to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction; 

(b)   the western kerbside lane of Hung Mui Kuk Road from its junction with the slip road leading from Hung Mui Kuk Road northbound to Chung Pak Road westbound to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;  

(c)   the southern kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Hung Mui Kuk Road northbound to Chung Pak Road westbound from its junction with Hung Mui Kuk Road to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction; and 

(d)   the northern kerbside lane of Chung Pak Road from its junction with Hung Mui Kuk Road to a point about 50 metres west of the same junction.

      Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

      The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

      At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
