ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Tai Wai, Sha Tin

      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 28 January 2021, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)   the section of Tai Wai Road from its junction with the unnamed road connecting Grandeur Garden to a point about 65 metres south of the same junction; 

(b)   the northern kerbside lane of the unnamed road connecting Grandeur Garden from its junction with Tai Wai Road to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;

(c)   the section of Chik Fuk Street from its junction with Tai Wai Road to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction; 

(d)   the western kerbside lane of Chik Fu Street from its junction with Chik Fuk Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction; and

(e)   the eastern kerbside lane of Chik Fu Street from its junction with Chik Fuk Street to a point about 35 metres north of the same junction.

      Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

      The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

      At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
