ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER  374 SUB. LEG. G)

Restricted Zone in Quarry Bay

      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374 sub. leg. G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 29 January 2021, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

i.   the western kerbside lane of Shipyard Lane from its western junction with King's Road to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;

ii.  the eastern kerbside lane of Shipyard Lane from its western junction with King's Road to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;

iii. the northern kerbside lane of King's Road from its western junction with Shipyard Lane to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction; and

iv. the northern kerbside lane of King's Road from its western junction with Shipyard Lane to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction.

      Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

      The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

      At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
