ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374) 

Restricted Zones on Playing Field Road and Nathan Road,  Mong Kok 

      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 1 February 2021, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily: 

(a)   the section of Playing Field Road from its junction with Nathan Road to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction; 

(b)   the western kerbside lane of Nathan Road from a point about 10 metres south of its junction with Playing Field Road to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction; 

(c)   the section of Playing Field Road from its junction with Nathan Road to a point about 25 metres east of the same junction; and 

(d)   the eastern kerbside lane of Nathan Road from a point about 15 metres south of its junction with Playing Field Road to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction. 

      Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods. 

      The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings. 

      At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
