ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Carpenter Road, Nga Tsin Long Road and Nam Kok Road, Kowloon City

               In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.00 pm on 11 February 2021, the following road sections in Kowloon City will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

(a)   The section of Nga Tsin Long Road from its junction with Carpenter Road to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;

(b)   The southern kerbside lane of Carpenter Road from a point about 10 metres east of its junction with Nga Tsin Long Road to a point about 5 metres west of the same junction;

(c)   The southern kerbside lane of Carpenter Road from a point about 5 metres east of its junction with Nam Kok Road to a point about 5 metres west of the same junction; and

(d)   The section of Nam Kok Road from its junction with Carpenter Road to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction. 

               Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses, and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: 

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b)   loading or unloading goods. 

               The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

               At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
