ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Kwun Tong

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 4.00 pm on 28 February 2021, the following road sections in Kwun Tong will be designated as restricted zones: 

From 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily 

        (a)      the northern kerbside lane of Mut Wah Street from its junction with Fu Yan Street to a point about 35 metres west of the same junction;

        (b)     the western kerbside lane of Fu Yan Street from its junction with Mut Wah Street to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;

        (c)      the eastern kerbside lane of Fu Yan Street from its junction with Mut Wah Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;

        (d)      the northern kerbside lane of Mut Wah Street from its junction with Fu Yan Street to a point about 125 metres east of the same junction;

        (e)      the southern kerbside lane of Mut Wah Street from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with Hong Ning Road to a point about 80 metres east of the same junction; and

        (f)      the southern kerbside lane of Mut Wah Street from a point about 30 metres west of its junction with Hip Wo Street to a point about 55 metres west of the same junction. 

From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily 

        (a)       the western kerbside lane of Hip Wo Street from a point about 15 metres south of its junction with Mut Wah Street to a point about 110 metres south of the same junction. 

24 hours daily 

        (a)     the southern kerbside lane of Mut Wah Street from a point about 80 metres east of its junction with Hong Ning Road to a point about 90 metres east of the same junction;

        (b)     the southern kerbside lane of Mut Wah Street from a point about 120 metres east of its junction with Hong Ning Road to a point about 130 metres east of the same junction;

        (c)      the section of the vehicular access of the bus terminus from its junction with Mut Wah Street to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;

        (d)     the southern kerbside lane of Mut Wah Street from its junction with Hip Wo Street to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;

        (e)     the western kerbside lane of Hip Wo Street from its junction with Mut Wah Street to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;

        (f)     the northern kerbside lane of Mut Wah Street from a point about 120 metres east of its junction with Fu Yan Street to a point about 150 metres east of the same junction;

        (g)     the eastern kerbside lane of Hip Wo Street from its junction with Mut Wah Street to a point about 30 meters north of the same junction;

        (h)     the western kerbside lane of Hip Wo Street from a point about 110 meters south of its junction with Mut Wah Street to a point about 130 metres south of the same junction;

        (i)      the western kerbside lane of Hip Wo Street from a point of about 150 meters south of its junction with Mut Wah Street to a point about 170 metres south of the same junction;

        (j)      the northern kerbside lane of the vehicular access of the public light bus termini from its junction with Hip Wo Street to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;

        (k)     the southern kerbside lane of the vehicular access of the public light bus termini from its junction with Hip Wo Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction; and

        (l)      the northern kerbside lane of Tung Yan Street from its junction with Hip Wo Street to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction. 

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: 

        (a)     picking up or setting down passengers; or 
        (b)     loading or unloading goods. 

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings. 

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
