Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Tung Chi Street, Kwai Chung
Members of the public are advised that to facilitate road maintenance works, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented on Tung Chi Street from 9.00 p.m. on 6 May 2021 to 6.00 a.m. of the following day-
(I) Temporary Traffic Arrangement
- All vehicles on Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound) will be temporarily banned from turning left onto Tung Chi Street (westbound); and
- All vehicles on Tai Pak Tin Street (southbound) will be temporarily banned from turning right onto Tung Chi Street (westbound); and
- All vehicles on Shek Yam Road (northbound) will be temporarily banned from turning left onto Tung Chi Street (westbound).
(II) Temporary Traffic Diversion
- Affected vehicles on Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound) heading to Tung Chi Street (westbound) will be diverted to travel via Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound), Lei Muk Road (southbound) and Tung Chi Street (eastbound); and
- Affected vehicles on Tai Pak Tin Street (southbound) heading to Tung Chi Street (westbound) will be diverted to travel via Tai Pak Tin Street (southbound), On Chit Lane (eastbound), On Chit Street (southbound), Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound), Lei Muk Road (southbound) and Tung Chi Street (eastbound); and
- Affected vehicles on Shek Yam Road (northbound) heading to Lei Muk Road (southbound) will be diverted to travel via Tung Chi Street (eastbound), Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound) and Lei Muk Road (southbound).
(III) Public Transport Services Arrangements
- KMB Route Nos.31(Tsuen Wan West Station bound), 235 (Tsuen Wan bound) and 235M (Kwai Fong bound) and 936 (Shek Wai Kok bound) will be diverted to travel via Shek Yam Road (northbound), Tung Chi Street (eastbound), Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound) and Lei Muk Road (southbound) before resuming normal routing.
- KMB Route No.35A (On Yam Estate bound) will be diverted to travel via Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound), Lei Muk Road (southbound), Tung Chi Street (eastbound), Shek Yam Road (southbound), Shek Yam Road (northbound), Tung Chi Street (eastbound) and Tai Pak Tin Street (southbound) before resuming normal routing.
- KMB Route Nos.35X (On Yam Estate bound), 235(On Yam Estate bound) and 235M (On Yam Estate bound) will be diverted to travel via Lei Muk Road (northbound), Tung Chi Street (eastbound), Shek Yam Road (southbound), Shek Yam Road (northbound), Tung Chi Street (eastbound) and Tai Pak Tin Street (southbound) before resuming normal routing.
- The bus stop of KMB Route No.35A (On Yam Estate bound) on Tai Pak Tin Street (southbound) near Shek Yam East Estate will be temporarily relocated to Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound) near Yung Shek House, Shek Yam Estate.
- The bus stop of KMB Route No.35X(On Yam Estate bound), 235(On Yam Estate bound) and 235M (On Yam Estate bound) on Tai Pak Tin Street (southbound) near Shek Yam East Estate will be temporarily relocated to Tai Pak Tin Street (southbound) near On Chit Street.
- The N.T. GMB Route. No. 83A (Tsuen Wan Chuen Lung Street bound) will be diverted to travel via Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound) and Lei Muk Road (southbound) before resuming normal routing.
- The N.T. GMB Route. No. 83A Special Departure (Tsuen Wan West bound) and No.401(Shek Yam Estate bound) will be diverted to travel via Tai Pak Tin Street (northbound), Lei Muk Road (southbound), Tung Chi Street (eastbound), Shek Yam Road (southbound) and Shek Yam Road (eastbound) before resuming normal routing.
- The GMB stop of N.T. GMB Route. No. 83A (Tsuen Wan Chuen Lung Street bound) on Shek Yam Road (eastbound) near North Kwai Chung Market will be temporarily suspended.
Motorists are advised to drive with utmost care and patience. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Public Transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.
