Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Sui Wo Road, Fo Tan

      Motorists are advised that in order to facilitate drainage works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 11.00 pm to 5.00 am of the following day daily from 12 June 2021 to 25 July 2021:

A.   Road Closure

The section of Sui Wo Road northbound between Wong Chuk Yeung Street and Shan Mei Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic

B.   Temporary Traffic Arrangements

During the above road closure, the following traffic arrangements and diversion will be implemented:

i.   Affected vehicles on Shan Mei Street heading for Sui Wo Road northbound and Ngau Wu Tok Street will be diverted via Sui Wo Road southbound, roundabout, Wong Chuk Yeung Street, roundabout, Kwei Tei Street northbound and Cheung Lek Mei Street; and

ii.  Affected vehicles on Sui Wo Road westbound heading for Sui Wo Road northbound will be diverted via Wong Chuk Yeung Street, roundabout, Kwei Tei Street northbound and Cheung Lek Mei Street.

C.   Public Transport Arrangements

During the above road closure, the following public transport arrangements will be implemented:

i.   KMB Route Nos. 80M (Kowloon Tong bound) and 81K (Sun Tin Wai bound) will be diverted via Wong Chuk Yeung Street, roundabout, Kwei Tei Street northbound and Fo Tan Road before resuming its original routeing. The bus stops of the above routes at Fo Tan (Shan Mei Street) Bus Terminus will be relocated to the temporary bus stop at Fo Tan Road eastbound outside Fonda Industrial Building; and

ii.  GMB Route Nos. 69K (Sha Tin bound) and 811 (Yu Chui Court bound) will be diverted via Wong Chuk Yeung Street, roundabout, Kwei Tei Street northbound, Cheung Lek Mei Street, Sui Wo Road northbound and Fo Tan Road before resuming its original routeing. The GMB stops of the above routes at Sui Wo Road northbound outside Wah Lok Industrial Centre will be relocated to the temporary GMB stop at Cheung Lek Mei Street near its junction with Sui Wo Road.

      Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary transport arrangements.
