Diversion Arrangement of Franchised Bus Routes
via Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Road

Members of the public are advised that the eight franchised bus routes plying between Yuen Long District and North Lantau/the airport operated by Long Win Bus Company Limited (LW) will be diverted via the Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Road with effect from the first departure on 20 June 2021 (Sunday).

      The following eight bus routes will observe the Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Bus-Bus Interchange to facilitate passengers interchanging bus routes to/from various destinations between Yuen Long District and North Lantau/the airport. 

(1)   Route No. A36 (Yuen Long (Kam Sheung Road Station) - Airport (Ground Transportation Centre));

(2)   Route No. A37 (Yuen Long (Long Ping Station) - Airport (Ground Transportation Centre));

(3)   Route No. E36 (Yuen Long (Pat Heung Road) - Airport (Ground Transportation Centre));

(4)   Route No. E36A (Yuen Long (Tak Yip Street) - Tung Chung (Yat Tung Estate Public Transport Terminus));

(5)   Route No. E37 (Tin Shui Wai Town Centre - Airport (Ground Transportation Centre)) ;

(6)   Route No. NA36 (Yuen Long (Kam Sheung Road Station) -  Airport (Cathay Pacific City);

(7)   Route No. NA37 (Tin Shui Wai Town Centre – Airport (Cathay Pacific City); and

(8)   Route No. N30 (Yuen Long Station – Airport (Cheong Tat Road)).

      The eight bus routes will no longer travel via Lantau Link Bus-Bus Interchange, Tuen Mun Road Bus-Bus Interchange and Tai Lam Tunnel Bus-Bus Interchange after the diversion and passengers of the routes cannot make interchange at those Bus-Bus Interchanges.

      In addition to the diversion arrangement of the above eight bus routes, special departures of Route No. E36 (numbered as E36P) will be introduced to provide franchised bus services plying between Yuen Long (Sheung Tsuen) and AsiaWorld-Expo via Tai Lam Tunnel and Lantau Link during peak hours on Mondays to Saturdays (except Public Holidays).

      Following the route diversion arrangement, passengers currently taking bus routes plying between Yuen Long/ Tin Shui Wai and North Lantau and interchanging with LW/CTB Route No. R8 (Disneyland Resort Public Transport Interchange to Lantau Link Bus-bus Interchange) (Circular)) at Lantau Link Bus-bus Interchange to Disneyland can either take Route No. E36P to Lantau Link Bus-bus Interchange for interchanging with Route No. R8, the diverted Routes Nos. E36/ E37 and interchange with rail service in Tung Chung, or Route No. A36 at morning peak hours and interchange with CTB Route No. B5 (Hong Kong Port of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge - Sunny Bay Public Transport Interchange) at the Hong Kong Port of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

      In view of the direct bus service between Tung Chung North/ Tung Chung West and Yuen Long/ Tuen Mun to be provided by Route No. E36A, the original routeing and terminating point at Tung Chung Development Pier of Route No. E32A will be resumed on the same day. The temporary fare concession for interchanging between LW Routes Nos. E32A and E33 or E33P at Tung Chung Town Centre under will cease at the same time.

      Detailed information can be found in the Transport Department's (TD) website (www.td.gov.hk).  LW will also disseminate the details of route diversion, stop relocation and bus-bus interchange arrangements through various channels, including notices at bus stops and inside bus compartments, LW's website (www.lwb.hk) and mobile application. Passengers may utilize the above means and pay attention to the associated arrangements to avoid any delay in their journeys.
