Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Ho Chung, Sai Kung

      Members of the public are advised that to facilitate road improvement works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Ho Chung, Sai Kung, with effect from 10.00 am on 5 July 2021 to 4.00 pm on 30 September 2021:

I.   Traffic Arrangements

(a)   Lane Closure

A section of Ho Chung Road between Hiram's Highway and Ho Chung North Road will be temporaily coverted from two-lane two-way traffic to one-lane one-way traffic (eastbound).  All vehicles on Hiram's Highway (northbound) will be prohibited from making left turn to Ho Chung Road.

Affected vehicles heading for Ho Chung will be diverted via temporary slip road leading to Luk Mei Tsuen Road from Hiram's Highway, Luk Mei Tsuen Road and Ho Chung North Road

(b)   Opening of Temporary Road

A section of temporary slip road leading to Luk Mei Tsuen Road from Hiram's Highway at a point about 170 metres north from the junction between Ho Chung Road and Hiram's Highway will be opened for public use.

II.  Public Transport Arrangement

New Territories GMB route no. 2 (Ho Chung bound) will be diverted via temporary slip road leading to Luk Mei Tsuen Road from Hiram's Highway, Luk Mei Tsuen Road and Ho Chung North Road before resuming its original routeing at Ho Chung Road (westbound).

Motorists are advised to drive with utmost care and patience.  Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.  Notices will be displayed by the GMB operator to advise passengers of the above arrangement.
