TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Temporary Traffic Arrangement at North Lantau Highway

        Motorists are advised that in order to facilitate the road works by Highways Department, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented during the periods specified below from 27 September 2021 to 3 November 2021:

Lane Closure
    1. 10:00 p.m. on 27 September 2021 to 10:00 p.m. on 4 October 2021
      The offside lane, middle lane and hardshoulder of North Lantau Highway westbound from a point about 200 meters east of its junction with Airport Road northbound from about 100 meters west to the same junction will be temporary closed to all vehicular traffic.

    2. 10:01 p.m. on 4 October 2021 to 10:00 p.m. on 15 October 2021
      The nearside lane and hardshoulder of North Lantau Highway westbound from a point about 110 meters east of its junction with Airport Road northbound from about 100 meters west to the same junction will be temporary closed to all vehicular traffic.

    3. 10:01 p.m. on 15 October 2021 to 10:00 p.m. on 23 October 2021
      The nearside lane, middle lane and hardshoulder of North Lantau Highway westbound from a point about 200 meters east of its junction with Airport Road northbound from about 100 meters west to the same junction will be temporary closed to all vehicular traffic.

    4. 10:01 p.m. on 23 October 2021 to 11:59 p.m. on 3 November 2021
      The offside lane, middle lane and hardshoulder of North Lantau Highway westbound from a point about 200 meters east of its junction with Airport Road northbound from about 100 meters west to the same junction will be temporary closed to all vehicular traffic.
Temporary Speed Limit
    Also, the following temporary speed limit will be imlemented from 10:00 p.m. on 27 September 2021 to 11:59 p.m. on 3 November 2021:
    1. The section of North Lantau Highway westbound from a point about 3700 metres east of its junction with Airport Road northbound to a point about 300 metres east of the same junction will be subject to a speed limited of 80 kilometres per hour; and
    2. The section of North Lantau Highway westbound from a point about 300 metres east of its junction with Airport Road northbound to a point about 80 meters west of the same junction will be subject to a speed limited of 50 kilometres per hour.
    At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above sections of roads will be rescinded.


        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
