Transport Department Notice
Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Tsang Tsui, Tuen Mun for
Chung Yeung Festival 2021

        Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Tsang Tsui, Tuen Mun during the Chung Yeung Festival in 2021:

(A)   Road Closure
The section of Nim Wan Road between Yung Long Road and Tsang Tsui Columbarium access road will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily on 25 and 26 September, 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16, 17, 23 and 24 October 2021, except for the access of the following vehicles:
      • Franchised buses and MTR buses;
      • Taxis;
      • Vehicles gaining access to and from West New Territories Landfill and T‧PARK; and
      • Vehicles with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport.
(B)   Public Transport Arrangements

(a)   MTR Bus Route No. K52A
MTR Bus Route No. K52A (Tuen Mun Station – Tsang Tsui) will commence operation starting from 25 September 2021 (Saturday), with operating hours from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. daily. On 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16, 17, 23 and 24 October 2021, the operating hours of Route No. K52A will be extended to 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily.

(b)   KMB Route No. 52S
A special bus service, KMB Route No. 52S (Tuen Mun Road Bus-Bus Interchange – Tsang Tsui), will be operated from 7.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. daily on 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16 and 17 October 2021.

(c)   KMB Route No. 56S

A special bus service, KMB Route No. 56S (Tuen Mun Station – Tsang Tsui), will be operated from 7.50 a.m. to 4.50 p.m. daily on 25 and 26 September, and 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16 and 17 October 2021.

The above bus services will be strengthened as and when necessary subject to passenger demand.

(d)   Taxis
A temporary taxi pick-up and drop-off point will be designated at Tsang Tsui Columbarium (the "Columbarium") on 25 and 26 September, 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16, 17, 23 and 24 October 2021.

(C)   Attention and Appeal
Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on-site to guide motorists. Depending on the crowd and traffic conditions in the area, the Police may vary the implementation details of the above traffic and transport arrangements.

During the road closure period, members of the public are advised to use public transport services to go to the Columbarium. No parking will be permitted on any approach roads in the vicinity of the Columbarium. Any vehicle found parking on these roads may be towed away by the Police without prior notice.
