Traffic Advice
Temporary Traffic Arrangements at Central – Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel

        Motorists are advised that in order to facilitate road inspection and maintenance works, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented during the periods specified below from 23 September 2021 to 31 December 2021:

Road Closure

(i)   From 0.00 midnight to 6.00 am on every Mondays and Tuesdays (except public holidays)
(ii)  From 11.45 pm to 6.30 am of the following day on every Saturdays (except 23 October and 4 December 2021)
The eastbound tunnel tube of the Central – Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

(iii) From 0.00 midnight to 6.00 am on every Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (except 30 September 2021 and public holidays)
The westbound tunnel tube of the Central – Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

Traffic Diversion

(i)   From 0.00 midnight to 6.00 am on every Mondays and Tuesdays (except public holidays)
(ii)  From 11.45 pm to 6.30 am of the following day on every Saturdays (except 23 October and 4 December 2021)
(a) Affected vehicles from Central heading for Wan Chai (North) will be diverted via Man Po Street, Yiu Sing Street, Lung Wo Road and Expo Drive.
(b) Affected vehicles from Central heading for North Point will be diverted via Man Po Street, Yiu Sing Street, Lung Wo Road, Convention Avenue, Hung Hing Road and Victoria Park Road.

(iii) From 0.00 midnight to 6.00 am on every Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (except 30 September 2021 and public holidays)
(a) Affected vehicles from Island Eastern Corridor heading for Central will be diverted via Gloucester Road and Connaught Road Central.
(b) Affected vehicles from Island Eastern Corridor heading for Wan Chai (North) will be diverted via Gloucester Road and Tonnochy Road flyover.
(c) Affected vehicles from Tin Hau heading for Central (due to closure of tunnel entrance at Tsing Fung Street) will be diverted via Victoria Park Road and Gloucester Road.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
