Extension of Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Ho Chung, Sai Kung

Members of the public are advised that to facilitate road improvement works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will continue to be temporarily implemented in Ho Chung, Sai Kung, with effect from 4.00 pm on 31 October 2021 to 4.00 pm on 31 January 2022:

I.   Traffic Arrangements
(a)   Lane Closure of Ho Chung Road
A section of Ho Chung Road between Hiram's Highway and Ho Chung North Road will be temporaily coverted from two-lane two-way traffic to one-lane one-way traffic (eastbound). All vehicles on Hiram's Highway (northbound) will be prohibited from making left turn to Ho Chung Road.

Affected vehicles heading for Ho Chung Road will be diverted via Hiram's Highway (northbound), temporary slip road leading to Luk Mei Tsuen Road from Hiram's Highway, Luk Mei Tsuen Road (westbound) and Ho Chung North Road (southbound).

(b)   Lane Closure of Ho Chung North Road
A section of Ho Chung North Road between Ho Chung Road and Luk Mei Tsuen Road will be temporarily converted from two-lane two-way traffic to one-lane one-way traffic (southbound). All vehicles on Ho Chung Road (eastbound) will be prohibited from making left turn to Ho Chung North Road.

Affected vehicles heading for Ho Chung North Road and Luk Mei Tsuen Road will be diverted via Ho Chung Road (eastbound), Hiram's Highway (northbound) and temporary slip road leading to Luk Mei Tsuen Road from Hiram's Highway.

(c)   Opening of Temporary Road

A section of temporary slip road leading to Luk Mei Tsuen Road from Hiram's Highway (northbound) at a point about 170 metres north of the junction between Ho Chung Road and Hiram's Highway will be opened for public use.

II.  Public Transport Arrangement
New Territories GMB Route No. 2 (Ho Chung bound) will be diverted via Hiram's Highway (northbound), temporary slip road leading to Luk Mei Tsuen Road from Hiram's Highway, Luk Mei Tsuen Road (westbound) and Ho Chung North Road (southbound) before resuming its original routing at Ho Chung Road (westbound).

Motorists are advised to drive with utmost care and patience. Appropriate traffic signs have be erected to guide motorists. Notices have be displayed by the GMB operator to advise passengers of the above arrangement.
