Motorists are advised that to facilitate the emergency repair of waterworks, the fast and / or middle lane of Tolo Highway southbound near Sha Tin Racecourse will be temporarily closed by stages from 09.00 pm on 22 January 2022 to 03.00 am on 24 January 2022.

        During the above lane closure, motorists can use the following alternative roads to Kowloon or Sha Tin:

(i) in addition to the slow lane of Tolo Highway southbound, vehicles on Tolo Highway heading for Kowloon are advised to divert via Tate's Cairn Highway to Lion Rock Tunnel or Eagle's Nest Tunnel to Kowloon; and

(ii) vehicles on Tolo Highway and Science Park Road heading for Sha Tin are advised to divert via Tate's Cairn Highway and Tai Chung Kiu Road to Sha Tin.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. The Transport Department anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of the above road sections would be relatively busy. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion. Members of the public are advised to watch out for the latest traffic news.
