Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Tsang Tsui, Tuen Mun for
Ching Ming Festival 2022

Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Tsang Tsui, Tuen Mun during the Ching Ming Festival in 2022:

(A) Road Closure

The section of Nim Wan Road between Yung Long Road and Tsang Tsui Columbarium access road will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily on 19, 20, 26 and 27 March, and 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 15-18 April 2022, except for the access of the following vehicles:

      • MTR buses;
      • Taxis;
      • Vehicles gaining access to and from West New Territories Landfill and T‧PARK; and
      • Vehicles with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport


(B) Public Transport Arrangements

(a) MTR Bus Route No. K52A

The operating hours of MTR Bus Route No. K52A (Tuen Mun Station – Tsang Tsui) will be extended to 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily on the above-mentioned dates, and the frequency will be enhanced subject to passenger demand.

(b) Taxis

A temporary taxi pick-up and drop-off point will be designated at Tsang Tsui Columbarium (the "Columbarium") on the above-mentioned dates.

(C) Attention and Appeal

Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on-site to guide motorists. Depending on the crowd and traffic conditions in the area, the Police may vary the implementation details of the above traffic and transport arrangements.

During the road closure period, members of the public are advised to use public transport services to go to the Columbarium. No parking will be permitted on any approach roads in the vicinity of the Columbarium. Any vehicle found parking on these roads may be towed away by the Police without prior notice.
