TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Extension of Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Yau Ma Tei


        Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the Central Kowloon Route construction works,
the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will continue to be implemented in Yau Ma Tei from 1 August 2022 to 31 October 2022:

I.      Traffic Arrangements

(a)    Lane
Closure

The following traffic lanes will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:

(i)     T
he fast lane of Kansu Street between Canton Road and Reclamation Street; and

(ii)    The slow lane of Kansu Street between Ferry Street and Canton Road.

(b)   Lane Conversion

The section of
Saigon Street westbound between Ferry Street and Canton Road will be temporarily converted from two-lane one-way traffic to two-lane two-way traffic.

(c)    Banning
of Turning Movement

(i)     All vehicles exceeding 7 meters in length will be temporarily prohibited from making left turn from Ferry Street southbound onto Saigon Street; and

(ii)    All vehicles exceeding 12 meters in length will be temporarily prohibited from making left turn from Kansu Street onto Battery Street.

(d)   T
raffic Diversion

Affected vehicles exceeding 7 meters in length on Ferry Street southbound heading for Saigon Street will be diverted via Jordan eastbound, Canton Road northbound or Battery Street northbound.

II.     Transport Arrangements

Green Minibus (GMB) Diversion
and Stop Arrangements

To facilitate the above works, Kowloon GMB Route No. 43M (Tai Kok Tsui bound) will be diverted via Battery Street southbound, Saigon Street westbound and Ferry Street northbound before resuming to their original routings until further notice.

To facilitate the above GMB diversions, the stop of Kowloon GMB Route No. 43M on Kansu Street will be suspended and temporarily relocated on Battery Street outside Yau Ma Tei Market.


        Appropriate traffic signs and road markings have been erected on site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
