Packages of Public Light Bus (Scheduled) Routes

in the New Territories

Notice is hereby given that applications are invited under regulation 4(2) of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) Regulations (Chapter 374D) for the issue of passenger service licences for the operation of the following packages of public light bus (scheduled) routes in the New Territories. The particulars are set out below:

All public light buses to be deployed for the provision of the scheduled service in respect of the above routes must have passenger seat belts and high back passenger seats complying with the applicable requirements stipulated in the Road Traffic (Construction and Maintenance of Vehicles) Regulations (Cap. 374A) and Road Traffic (Safety Equipment) Regulations (Cap. 374F) installed before the date of service commencement.

Applications must be made by way of the appropriate application form ("Application for Passenger Service Licence(s) in respect of the Packages of Public Light Bus (Scheduled) Routes Gazetted in August 2022") obtainable, free of charge, on request from the following offices as from 5 August 2022:

Completed application forms and supporting documents (one (1) original and seven (7) legible photocopies) must be submitted in a plain white envelope sealed and marked on the outside of the envelope with "Application for Passenger Service Licence(s) in respect of the Packages of Public Light Bus (Scheduled) Routes Gazetted in August 2022" and placed in the Transport Department Tender Box situated at the reception counter of the Transport Department Headquarters on the 10th Floor of South Tower, West Kowloon Government Offices, 11 Hoi Ting Road, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon before 12:00 noon on 30 September 2022 (Friday). Applications made by other means or submitted late will not be considered.

The Government reserves the right to modify the routes and details of operation contained in this notice and does not bind itself to accept any such application received.
