ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones on Sha Tin Wai Road and Sha Kok Street, Sha Tin


        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 25 November 2022, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(i)  The northern kerbside lane of Sha Tin Wai Road from a point about 60 metres west of the junction with Sha Kok Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction; and

(ii) The eastern kerbside lane of Sha Kok Street from its junction with Sha Tin Wai Road to a point about 55 metres north of the same junction.


        Within the restricted zone drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

        (i)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

        (ii)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
