Traffic and Transport Arrangements for Commissioning of
Lam Tin Interchange, Tseung Lam Highway and Wan O Road

(a) Traffic Arrangements


  Notice is hereby given that the following road sections will be opened at 8.00 am on 11 December 2022 (Sunday):

    1. Lam Tin Interchange;
    2. Tseung Lam Highway (including associated cycle track and footpath); and
    3. Wan O Road (including associated cycle track and footpath).

  Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Members of the public may enquire 1823, browse Transport Department's ("TD") website (www.td.gov.hk) or HKeMobility mobile application for more details about the latest traffic arrangements.

(b) Public Transport Arrangements

  To tie in with the opening of Lam Tin Interchange, Tseung Lam Highway and Wan O Road, the following five franchised bus routes will be introduced with effect from the first departure of 12 December 2022 (Monday):

    1. KMB Route No. 96 (Hong Sing Garden – Tai Po Industrial Estate) ;
    2. KMB Route No. 290E (Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate – Tsuen Wan West Station) ;
    3. KMB Route No. 298X (Hang Hau (North) – Cheung Sha Wan (Kom Tsun Street)) ;
    4. NWFB Route No. 790 (Oscar by the Sea – Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road)); and
    5. NWFB Route No. 795 (Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate – Hoi Tat Estate (Sham Mong Road)).

  The above franchised bus routes will observe the bus stop at Lam Tin Interchange to facilitate passengers interchanging bus routes to/from Tseung Kwan O and various destinations in Kowloon, New Territories and Hong Kong Island.

  Bus companies will also disseminate the details of the bus routes and bus-bus interchange arrangements through various channels, including notices at bus stops and inside bus compartments, uploading the said information to bus companies' websites and mobile applications.
