ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374 SUB. LEG. G)
Restricted Zones in Chai Wan
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374 sub. leg. G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 28 April 2023, the follow road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:
(a) the southern kerbside lane of Chai Wan Road westbound from a point about 5 metres east of its junction with Wing Ping Street to the same junction;
(b) the eastern kerbside lane of Wing Ping Street from its junction with Chai Wan Road to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;
(c) the section of Hong Ping Street from its junction with Wing Ping Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction; and
(d) the eastern kerbside lane of Wing Ping Street from its junction with Hong Ping Street to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
