In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 14 September 2023 to 1.00 a.m. on 14 September 2024, the section of Fanling Highway (southbound) from a point of about 590 metres north of its junction with Pak Wo Road Elevated Road (near Dawning Views) to a point of about 340 metres south of its junction with Ho Ka Yuen Footbridge will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour.

          Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

          At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
