Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Ping Che Road, North District
Members of the public are advised that, to facilitate sewerage works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Ping Che Road from 10 a.m. on 26 September 2023 (Tuesday) to 4 p.m. on 25 January 2024 (Thursday):
1. Temporary traffic arrangements
The following road sections will be temporarily converted to one-lane two-way traffic:
- a section of about 40 metres of Ping Che Road from a point about 450 metres south of its junction with Lin Ma Hang Road to a point about 410 metres south of the same junction;
- a section of about 50 metres of Ping Che Road from a point about 860 metres north of its junction with Ping Yuen Road to a point about 810 metres north of the same junction (near the Caritas Fung Wong Fung Ting Home); and
- a section of about 50 metres of Ping Che Road from a point about 85 metres north of its junction with Ping Yuen Road to a point about 35 metres north of the same junction (near Kau Kee Store).
2. Temporary bus stop arrangements
- The bus stop of KMB route no. 79K (Ta Kwu Ling bound) on Ping Che Road northbound near Tong Fong will be temporarily relocated 20 metres southward.
- The bus stop of KMB route no. 79K (Sheung Shui bound) on Ping Che Road southbound near Lee Uk Village will be suspended. Affected passengers can use the existing bus stop on Ping Che Road southbound near Shing Ping Village.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive with utmost care. Notices will be displayed by the bus company to advise passengers of the above temporary bus stop arrangements.
