Motorists are advised that, to facilitate cable duct laying works, the following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 8.00 a.m. on 27 October 2023 to 6.00 p.m. on 31 December 2023:

       

1. Road Closure

The westbound of South Lantau Road from a point about 80 metres west of its junction with Obsolete Tung Chung Road to a point about 150 metres west of the same junction will be temporary closed.

2. Lane Conversion

The eastbound of South Lantau Road from a point about 80 metres west of its junction with Obsolete Tung Chung Road to a point about 150 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily converted from two-lane two-way traffic into one-lane two-way traffic.

3. Temporary suspension of parking spaces

8 non-metered parking spaces on South Lantau Road westbound near Lower Cheung Sha Beach will be temporarily suspended.

       Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorist are advised to exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion.
