Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Fanling Highway


          Notice is hereby given that to facilitate road works on Fanling Highway, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 00.30 a.m. to 05.30 a.m. daily on 2, 7 and 12 December 2023 as specified below.

(1) ROAD CLOSURE

The following road sections will be temporarily closed for all vehicular traffic:

  1. The slip road leading from So Kwun Po Road southbound and Kai Leng roundabout to Fanling Highway southbound; and
  2. The road section of Fanling Highway southbound from its junction with Tai Tau Leng roundabout to a point about 300 metres south of its junction with Pak Wo Road (near Dawning Views) (except the slow lane of the road section between Tai Tau Leng roundabout and Kai Leng roundabout (Exit 8)).

(2) TRAFFIC DIVERSION

  1. Vehicles on Fanling Highway southbound heading for Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point, Tai Po and Kowloon will be diverted via Fanling Highway southbound, So Kwun Po Road northbound, Jockey Club Road southbound and the slip road leading from Jockey Club Road southbound to Fanling Highway southbound; and
  2. Vehicles on So Kwun Po Road heading for Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point, Tai Po and Kowloon will be diverted via Kai Leng roundabout, So Kwun Po Road northbound, Jockey Club Road southbound and the slip road leading from Jockey Club Road southbound to Fanling Highway southbound.

(3) PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS

(A) Franchised Bus Service

LWB Route No. N42A (Tung Chung bound) will be diverted via San Wan Road southbound, Jockey Club Road southbound and the slip road leading from Jockey Club Road southbound to Fanling Highway southbound, and resume its normal routeing.

(B) Green Minibus Service

New Territories GMB Route No. 616S (Mong Kok bound) will be diverted via Fanling Highway southbound, So Kwun Po Road northbound, Jockey Club Road southbound and the slip road leading from Jockey Club Road southbound to Fanling Highway southbound, and resume its normal routeing.

          Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care.
