ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones in Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 8 December 2023, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. the eastern kerbside lane of Tai Po Tau Drive from a point about 25 metres north of its western junction with Tai Po Tau Road to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;
    2. the section of Tai Po Tau Road from its western junction with Tai Po Tau Drive to a point about 25 metres east of the same junction;
    3. the southern kerbside lane of Tai Po Tau Road from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with Ka King Lane to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;
    4. the section of Ka King Lane from its junction with Tai Po Tau Road to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;
    5. the northern kerbside lane of Tai Po Tau Road from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with San Wa On Lane to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction; and
    6. the section of San Wa On Lane from its junction with Tai Po Tau Road to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
