ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones in Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 15 December 2023, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. the southern kerbside lane of Sam Mun Tsai Road from a point about 20 metres west of its western junction with Yu On Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;
    2. the western kerbside lane of Yu On Street from its western junction with Sam Mun Tsai Road to a point on the northern kerbside lane of Yu On Street about 30 metres west of the same junction;
    3. the eastern kerbside lane of Yu On Street from its western junction with Sam Mun Tsai Road to a point on the northern kerbside lane of Yu On Street about 30 metres east of the same junction;
    4. the section of Yu On Street from a point about 35 metres east of its western junction with Sam Mun Tsai Road to a point about 60 metres east of the same junction; and
    5. the southern kerbside lane of Yu On Street from a point about 60 metres east of its western junction with Sam Mun Tsai Road to a point about 80 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
