ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Restricted Zones in Western District

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 9.00 a.m. on 29 December 2023, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones:

from 7.00 am to 9.00 am and 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm daily (except Saturdays and General Holidays) (except taxi and school private light buses pick-up or drop-off)

(a)  the section of Kui In Fong from a point about 10 metres north of its junction with Po Hing Fong to a point about 55 metres north of the same junction;
(b)  the northern kerbside lane of Po Hing Fong from a point about 50 metres west of its junction with Kui In Fong to a point about 100 metres west of the same junction;
(c)  the southern kerbside lane of Po Hing Fong from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Kui In Fong to a point about 55 metres west of the same junction;
(d)  the northern kerbside lane of Po Hing Fong from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Pound Lane to a point about 40 metres west of the same junction;
(e)  the southern kerbside lane of Po Hing Fong from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Pound Lane to a point about 35 metres west of the same junction; and


24 hours daily

(f)  the northern kerbside lane of Po Hing Fong from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Kui In Fong to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:—

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
