ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones in Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 12 January 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. the northern kerbside lane of Ting Kok Road from a point about 40 metres west of its junction with Lo Fai Road to a point about 100 metres east of the same junction;
    2. the western kerbside lane of Lo Fai Road from its junction with Ting Kok Road to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction;
    3. the eastern kerbside lane of Lo Fai Road from its junction with Ting Kok Road to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction; and
    4. the southern kerbside lane of Ting Kok Road from a point about 65 metres east of its junction with Lo Fai Road to a point about 95 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs or road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
