ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (Chapter 374)
Extension of Temporary Speed Limit on North Lantau Highway, Lantau Island

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 6 p.m. on 30 April 2024 to 6 p.m. on 31 July 2024, the following road sections will continue to be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour:

(a) the section of eastbound carriageway of the North Lantau Highway from a point about 175 meters east of its junction with Shun Long Road northbound to a point about 1,975 meters east of the same junction; and

(b) the section of westbound carriageway of the North Lantau Highway from a point about 250 meters east of its junction with Shun Long Road northbound to a point about 1,730 meters west of the same junction.

          Appropriate traffic signs have been erected to guide motorists.

          At the same time, the speed limit of 110 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
