ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones in Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 26 February 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones during the period as specified:-

        (A)  24 hours daily

    1. the section of access road leading to Ban Tip House from its junction with Choi Tip Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;
    2. the western kerbside lane of Choi Tip Street from a point about 20 metres south from its junction with the access road leading to Ban Tip House to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;
    3. the section of southern access road leading to Tai Po Hospital from its junction with Choi Tip Street to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;
    4. the southern kerbside lane of Choi Tip Street from a point about 25 metres west of its junction with the southern access road leading to Tai Po Hospital to a point 80 metres east of the same junction;
    5. the section of northern access road leading to Tai Po Hospital from its junction with Choi Tip Street to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;
    6. the section of the entrance road leading to the Public Transport Terminus at Fu Tip Estate from its junction with Choi Tip Street to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction;
    7. the eastern kerbside lane of the entrance road leading to the Public Transport Terminus at Fu Tip Estate from its junction with Choi Tip Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;
    8. the northern kerbside lane of Choi Tip Street from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with the entrance road leading to the Public Transport Terminus at Fu Tip Estate to a point about 45 metres east of the same junction;
    9. the section of the exit road of the Public Transport Terminus at Fu Tip Estate from its junction with Choi Tip Street to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction;
    10. the section of Choi Tip Street from a point about 30 metres west from its junction with the exit road of the Public Transport Terminus at Fu Tip Estate to a point about 40 metres east from the same junction;
    11. Choi Tip Street roundabout;
    12. the section of access road leading to Fu Tip Estate (Phase 2) from its junction with Choi Tip Street roundabout to a point about 5 metres north from the same junction; and
    13. the section of southern unnamed access road from its junction with Choi Tip Street roundabout to a point about 5 metres south from the same junction.
        (B)  From 7.00a.m. to 12.00 midnight daily (Except taxi pick up / drop off)

    1. the northern kerbside lane of Choi Tip Street from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with the access road leading to Ban Tip House to a point about 115 metres north of the same junction;
    2. the section of Choi Tip Street from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with the northern access road leading to Tai Po Hospital to a point about 160 metres north of the same junction; and
    3. the southern kerbside lane of Choi Tip Street from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with the entrance road leading to the Public Transport Terminus at Fu Tip Estate to a point about 45 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs or road markings.
