TRAFFIC ADVICE
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Kennedy Town

        Members of the public are advised that to facilitate the tram track renewal works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements in Kennedy Town will be implemented from 10.00 am on 2 March 2024 to 11.59 pm on 3 March 2024:

I. Temporary Traffic Arrangements

a) Lane Closure
1. Part of the traffic lane of Sands Street southbound outside Kut Chueng Mansion will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic; 

2. Part of the traffic lane of Praya, Kennedy Town westbound outside Shun On Building will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic (except tram); and

3. Part of the traffic lane of Catchick Street eastbound outside Kut Cheung Mansion will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic (except tram).

b) Prohibited Zone for Vehicles
Prava, Kennedy Town westbound between Sai Cheung Street and Sands Street will be temporarily designated as a prohibited zone for vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length.

c) Traffic Diversion
1. Vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length from Praya, Kennedy Town westbound heading to Belcher's Street will be diverted via Sai Cheung Street southbound;

2. Vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length from Des Voeux Road West westbound heading for Rock Hill Street will be diverted via Hill Road northbound, Shing Sai Road westbound and Sands Street southbound;

3. Vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length from Queen's Road West, heading for Rock Hill Street will be diverted via Hill Road northbound, Shing Sai Road westbound and Sands Street southbound; and

4. Vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length from Hill Road northbound, heading for Rock Hill Street will be diverted via Shing Sai Road westbound and Sands Street southbound.

II. Temporary Transport Arrangements

a) Bus Diversion
Citybus Route nos. 1, 5B, 18, 18P, 18X, 43M, 88X, 971 and N8X; and Cross-harbour route nos. 113 and 904 will be diverted via Sai Cheung Street southbound and Belcher's Street.

b) Bus Stop Arrangement
The bus stop of Citybus Route nos. 1, 5B, 18, 18P, 18X, 43M, 88X, 971 and N8X; and Cross-harbour route nos. 113 and 904 at Praya, Kennedy Town outside Kennedy Town Centre will be temporarily relocated about 80 metres southward to Bachelor Street outside Mau Wah Mansion.

        Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be erected on site to guide motorists. The bus company will display notices to inform passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
