Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements
for Cycle for Millions 2024

         Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and public transport arrangements will be implemented from 16 March 2024 (Saturday) to 17 March 2024 (Sunday) to facilitate the holding of Cycle for Millions 2024:

I.    TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS

         (A) Road Closures

From 8.00 p.m. on 16 March 2024 to about 1.00 p.m. on 17 March 2024, the following road will be closed to all vehicular traffic:

      1. The slow lane of Ching Hong Road northbound from its junction with Tsing Yi Road to a point about 195 metres north of the same junction (including the on-street goods vehicle parking spaces).

From 1.00 a.m. to about 1.00 p.m. on 17 March 2024, the following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic:

      1. Tsing Sha Highway between Ngong Shuen Chau viaduct and Cheung Tsing Highway, including Stonecutters Bridge, East Tsing Yi viaduct, Nam Wan Tunnel and West Tsing Yi viaduct;
      2. Slip road leading from West Kowloon Highway (Airport bound) to Tsing Sha Highway (Airport bound);
      3. Slip road leading from Container Port Road South (southbound) to Tsing Sha Highway (Ngong Shuen Chau viaduct);
      4. Slip road leading from Tsing Sha Highway (Lai Chi Kok viaduct) to Tsing Sha Highway (Ngong Shuen Chau viaduct);
      5. All slip roads leading from North West Tsing Yi Interchange to Tsing Sha Highway (Sha Tin bound);
      6. All slip roads connecting Tsing Yi Road and Tsing Sha Highway; and
      7. The section of Tsing Yi Road eastbound from its southern cul-de-sac to its junction with Sai Shan Road.

From 1.00 a.m. to about 10.30 a.m. on 17 March 2024, the following road will be closed to all vehicular traffic:

      1. The section of Sai Shan Road northbound between its junction with Tsing Yi Road and the eastern entrance of Hong Kong IVE (Tsing Yi).
(B) Traffic Diversion

During the period of road closures, the following traffic diversion arrangements will be implemented:

      1. Vehicles from North West Tsing Yi Interchange heading for Kowloon, Eagle's Nest Tunnel and Container Port Road South will be diverted via Route 3;
      2. Vehicles from North West Tsing Yi Interchange heading for Tsing Yi (South) will be diverted via Cheung Tsing Highway southbound, slip road, Tsing Yi Road West northbound, Ching Hong Road eastbound, Tsing Yi Road northbound and Tsing Yi Interchange;
      3. Vehicles from Tsing Yi (South) heading for North West Tsing Yi Interchange will be diverted via Tsing Yi Road northbound, Tsing Yi Interchange, Tsing Yi Road southbound, Ching Hong Road westbound, Tsing Yi Road West southbound, slip road and Cheung Tsing Highway northbound;
      4. Vehicles from Tsing Yi (South) heading for Kowloon, Eagle's Nest Tunnel and Container Port Road South will be diverted via Tsing Yi Road northbound, Tsing Yi Interchange, Kwai Tsing Road eastbound, slip road and Tsing Kwai Highway southbound;
      5. Vehicles from Container Port Road South heading for North West Tsing Yi Interchange and Tsing Yi (South) will be diverted via Lai Po Road northbound, Lin Cheung Road westbound, roundabout and Tsing Kwai Highway northbound;
      6. Vehicles from Eagle's Nest Tunnel heading for North West Tsing Yi Interchange and Tsing Yi (South) will be diverted via Ching Cheung Road westbound and Tsing Kwai Highway northbound;
      7. Vehicles from Kowloon heading for North West Tsing Yi Interchange and Tsing Yi (South) will be diverted via Route 3; and
      8. The section of Sai Shan Road southbound between its junction with Tsing Yi Road and the eastern entrance of Hong Kong IVE (Tsing Yi) will be temporarily converted to one-lane-two-way traffic.
II.    PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS
       During the above period of road closure, the following bus routes will be diverted:

Tai Po

via Cheung Tsing Highway (eastbound), Cheung Tsing Tunnel (eastbound), Tsing Kwai Highway (southbound), slip road and Ching Cheung Road (northbound).

LW A41, A41P, A42, A46 and A47X

to Airport / HZMB Hong Kong Port

via Ching Cheung Road (southbound), slip road, Tsing Kwai Highway (northbound), Cheung Tsing Tunnel (westbound) and Cheung Tsing Highway (westbound).

to Tai Po

via North West Tsing Yi Interchange (northbound), Tsing Yi North Coastal Road (eastbound), Tsing Tsuen Road (eastbound), Texaco Road (northbound), Texaco Road North (northbound), Tsuen Kam Interchange, Cheung Pei Shan Road (eastbound), Shing Mun Tunnel (eastbound), Shing Mun Tunnel Road (eastbound) and Tai Po Road (northbound).

to Airport / HZMB Hong Kong Port

via Shing Mun Tunnel Road (westbound), Shing Mun Tunnel (westbound), Cheung Pei Shan Road (westbound), Tsuen Kam Interchange, Texaco Road North (southbound), Texaco Road (southbound), Tsing Tsuen Road (westbound), Tsing Yi North Coastal Road (westbound) and North West Tsing Yi Interchange (southbound).

Circular route temporarily terminate at Tsing Yi Station and omit Ching Fu Court

Terminal will be temporarily changed from Ching Fu Court to Tsing Yi Station. After departing from Tsing Yi Station, divert via Tsing King Road (southbound), Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui Road (southbound), Tsing Yi Road (southbound), Ching Hong Road roundabout, Tsing Yi Road (northbound) and resumes the original routeing.

III.    ATTENTION AND APPEAL

        Appropriate traffic aids will be erected to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices at the stops and inside vehicle compartment to advise passengers of the temporary arrangements.

        Members of the public are advised to plan their routes early, use alternate routes and allow more travelling time to cater for unexpected delay. Motorists are advised to drive with care and patience, and follow instructions given by the Police.
