Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Lung Cheung Road, Wong Tai Sin
Notice is hereby given that to facilitate footbridge erection works on Lung Cheung Road, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on 23 and 24 March 2024: -
I. Traffic Arrangements
A. Road Closure
The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic during the periods specified below:
(i) From 11.00 pm on 23 March 2024 to 5.30 am on 24 March 2024
(a) The fast lane of Kwun Tong Road westbound near Kai Yip Estate to Lung Cheung Road westbound near Po Kong Village Road; and
(b) The fast lane of Lung Cheung Road eastbound between Hsin Kuang Centre and Tai Hom Substation.
(ii) From 12.00 midnight to 5.30 am on 24 March 2024
(a) The middle lane of Lung Cheung Road westbound between Tai Hom Substation and Po Kong Village Road; and
(b) The middle lane of Lung Cheung Road eastbound between Tropicana Gardens and Tai Hom Substation.
(iii) From 1.00 am to 5.30 am on 24 March 2024
(a) All lanes of Lung Cheung Road westbound between Hammer Hill Road and Po Kong Village Road;
(b) The slip road leading from Choi Hung Road eastbound to Lung Cheung Road westbound; and
(c) The slip road leading from Lung Cheung Road westbound to Po Kong Village Road.
B. Lane Conversion
(i) From 1.00 am to 5.30 am on 24 March 2024
(a) The section of Lung Cheung Road eastbound between Po Kong Village Road and Hammer Hill Road will be temporarily converted from one-way traffic into two-way traffic.
C. Traffic Diversion
(i) From 1.00 am to 5.30 am on 24 March 2024
(a) Affected vehicles on Choi Hung Road eastbound or Choi Hung Road northbound heading to Lung Cheung Road westbound will be diverted via Hammer Hill Road northbound, Hammer Hill Road Roundabout, Hammer Hill Road southbound, Choi Hung Road westbound, Po Kong Village Road northbound and Lung Cheung Road westbound.
II. Public Transport Arrangements
(i) From 1.00 am to 5.30 am on 24 March 2024
(a) The existing bus and GMB stops for KMB route nos. 38, 62X, 259D, 268C, N214, N290, CTB route nos. N26, N29 and NA29 and New Territories GMB route no. 501S on Lung Cheung Road westbound near Diamond Hill MTR Station Exit B will be temporarily relocated to Choi Hung Road westbound near Rhythm Garden;
(b) The existing bus stop for KMB route no. 268C at Diamond Hill (Choi Hung Road) Public Transport Interchange will be temporarily suspended; and
(c) KMB route nos. 38, 62X, 259D, 268C, N214, N290, CTB route nos. N26, N29 and NA29 and New Territories GMB route no. 501S on Lung Cheung Road westbound will be diverted via Lung Cheung Road slip road, Choi Hung Road roundabout, Choi Hung Road westbound, Po Kong Village Road northbound before resuming its original routeing.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements in advance.
